Our Story

Where the Delta Story Began

Friendship, waterfowl, and the Arkansas Delta shaped everything that followed.

In the Arkansas Delta, mornings come early and honest. Long before the sun reaches over the fields, the sky carries the promise of wings. It was here - among flooded timber, rice fields, and generations of hunting tradition - that three buddies found the place where their passion took root.

Stetson Selby, Jacob Benefield, and Ben Lofton grew up in the rhythms of the Delta: the whistle of teal over the water, long summer days in the fields, and the anticipation that builds each year when the first flights return. They hunted together the way lifelong friends do - before there was a name, before there was a plan, before they ever imagined what it could become.

Just three young men chasing birds, chasing sunrises, and chasing the feeling only a cold morning in good company can give.

The gear wasn't perfect. The blinds weren't fancy. Their "club" was little more than a few trucks parked in the dark and a trailer full of decoys dragged through mud. But the hunts were good. More importantly, the memories were better.

And that was enough.

Early Delta Outdoors crew members gathered together inside camp.

Over time, the hunts grew. Word spread about the birds they were finding and the atmosphere they created. Friends invited friends. Those friends brought more. What started as a handful of mornings turned into something bigger - something worth preserving.

They never set out to build a business. They set out to protect a feeling.

The spirit of Delta waterfowling.

The quiet moments before shooting light.

The sound of calling across open fields.

The stories, the laughs, and the memories made in the blind.

That feeling became Delta Outdoors Co.

Today, that tradition is carried forward by Stetson and Callie Selby, proud Lake Village locals who know this land as well as they know their own story. Alongside their son, Wells Selby, they represent both the roots and the future of the club. Together, they've poured their heart into creating a place where hunters don't just find birds - they find connection.

What once lived in the backs of trucks and makeshift blinds now lives in a lodge built for hunters - a place to warm up after a cold morning, share a meal, relive the day's best shots (and worst misses), and make memories that last long after the season ends.

But at its core, Delta Outdoors Co. remains exactly what it started as:

A group of friends who love the land, respect the hunt, and believe in sharing the Arkansas Delta the way it was meant to be experienced.
